1st MATRYCS workshop

We would like to invite you to the 1st MATRYCS workshop that is organised online. An interactive session to introduce big data potential for smart energy-aware buildings.

With buildings accounting for nearly 40% of EU energy consumption, the building sector should play a key role in effective climate policy. Big data is the key to unlock energy management in buildings. More and more data are being generated within buildings nowadays, due to the increasing adoption of leading-edge technologies hence contributing to move forward towards a smart building landscape.

MATRYCS 1st Workshop will provide an introductory session on the approaches of elevating the building energy management by unlocking the potential of big data use. In this interactive session moderated by Roman Mendle (ICLEI), the following topics will be addressed:

  1. The MATRYCS project, an overview to set up the scene by Pasquale Andriani (ENG)
  2. The technological perspective of using big data by Dario Pellegrino (ENG)
  3. An overview of data-driven real-life demonstrations by Gema Hernández Moral (CARTIF)
  4. A deep dive to 2 Large Scale Pilots focusing on big data impact in district and regional level by Jaime Gómez Tribiño (VEOLIA) & Alfredo Cadórniga Pedrosa (EREN)

The Worksop is organised by the MATRYCS project, moderated by ICLEI and will take place on Tuesday 22nd of June 2021 at 09:30 CEST.
